BEST DRESSED: Met Gala 2015

Each year, over 500 actors, actresses, fashion designers, and models gather at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the premier event on the New York social calendar, the Met Gala. For those that are unfamiliar with it, the Met Gala is the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute benefit. Some say that the red carpet for this event is the "Oscars of the fashion industry" because of the glamorous (and sometimes outrageous) designs that the attendees don as they grace the steps of the Met. This year's theme was "China: Through the Looking Glass," which inspired many designers to create garments full of color, pattern, and a little bit of whimsy. Several celebrities even chose to wear large hats and elaborate headdresses.

I dream of being a fly on the wall, observing and listening to all of the mingling and conversing, at this event. I cannot even imagine being surrounded by such talent and glamour all in one place! It would be absolutely magical to me!
