As we move deeper into summer and closer to fall, there is one item that I have been endlessly searching for- a beautiful pair of metal statement earrings. Bold, metal earrings made a big impact in many of the Spring 17 designers' shows (see here), and this is a trend that will surely be moving with us into fall.

I am a big fan of statement earrings and have been wearing lots of colorful, bold, and embellished pairs over the past couple of years, but I have been missing a more refined, sleek, versatile metal earring in my jewelry drawer. As we head towards a new season, some of my colorful statement earrings no longer feel like the right fit with some of my outfits, and I have been looking for something new.

Trends are always changing, and as they do, I think it is so funny how our likes/dislikes naturally move with them. Fashion is an ever-evolving, ever-changing movement of style. While some timeless pieces remain staples in our closets for a lifetime, other items remain only for a couple seasons. Am I saying this is the end of the colorful, bold, and overly embellished statement earring trend? Absolutely not (and I surely hope that trend doesn't fade anytime soon, because I love them way too much). However, more refined metal jewelry seems to fit my mood and style more precisely right now.

As I was searching a couple weeks ago, I was SO excited to be introduced to Sibilia Jewelry, a gorgeous brand of metal earrings and accessories made in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Buenos Aires is a city beaming with talented artisans and extraordinary style. It's a place high on my travel wishlist, and I am eager to visit one day and explore more of its fashion culture and hear stories of the amazing artists and designers there. Designer Fernanda Sibilia describes more about the beauty of Buenos Aires, her inspiration, and her creative process in this short (must watch) video here.

As I scrolled through pictures upon pictures of Sibilia's gorgeous designs, I fell in love with the unique shapes, intriguing textures, and handmade detail in all her jewelry. There is something so alluring about the strong, hard metallic material that is also incredibly sleek, soft, polished, and sophisticated. The attention to detail and the craftsmanship seen in all of Sibilia's jewelry is truly inspiring... I really love when you can see someone's hands and heart behind her creation.

And finally, a little more about this outfit... This top is one of my favorite finds from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (see my full shopping guide to the sale here). I love the relaxed cold shoulder style and updated look of the button down top. The fabric of this top is incredibly soft and is one I'll be reaching for again and again to wear with jeans and leggings throughout the coming season. I paired my new top with a pair of distressed jeans (same "Florence" style, not distressed), espadrille wedges (similar), this bamboo bag, and of course my new Sibilia earrings

The pair of earrings I'm wearing are currently on sale here. Get the metallic accessory look from the Hugo Boss Fall 17 runway show with this Sibilia pair here. You can shop more of Sibila Jewelry at Anthropologie here or on her site here! See more of her latest designs on Instagram here.
