Isabel Marant not only showed a killer collection during Paris Fashion Week, but she has proved to the world that high wasted pants are not going anywhere anytime soon. She even introduced an inverted peplum waist silhouette that I love. By adding extra fabric to the top of the pants and belting it, this look is actually so flattering and elongates the leg. I want a pair! I love when designers take a trend that is clearly growing and use their creativity to construct something new from it. Marant said she centered the whole collection around this new pant silhouette.
Fashion Week is definitely one of my favorite times of the year, because I love seeing how designers display their creativity, not only in the clothes but in the show as a whole. From hair to makeup to music to venue, there is so much that goes into a runway show that adds character and life to the clothes.
These pictures from style.com that show the backstage scene at Isabel Marant are so inspiring to me. Although many only focus on what happens on the runway side of the show, there is so much done backstage to prep these models and make sure the clothes are perfect. I think what I love about these pictures so much is the real-ness and all the details. Being such a detail person, I loooooove these.
