Monday Q&A No. 12

Happy Monday! I am so thrilled to get back to one of my favorite series here on the blog this week- Monday Q&As. I had intended to start this series again last Monday, but when I sat down to write the post, I decided to write something a bit more personal (read here).

One of my most favorite parts of blogging is connecting and chatting with each of you here and over on Instagram. Over the past few weeks, I have been collecting questions from DMs and emails to answer and share with you here. Thank you so much to each of you that continues to send questions my way! If you have any questions you’d like me to answer, send them over via DM (@lcbstyle), email (caroline@lcbstyle.com), or comment below!

Let’s jump into today’s questions!

Q&A

1. What is your favorite part about living in Palm Beach? Oh wow, there is SO MUCH I love about living in Palm Beach. At first thought, I want to say the beach! I grew up spending a ton of time at the beach with my family and have always been happiest by the water, so getting to live by the coast and seeing the sunrise/ sunset over the ocean almost daily is the greatest gift. I also have to say the people I have met and worked with since moving to Palm Beach have been so incredibly kind, helpful, inspiring… and just so wonderful! I feel so so lucky to have met each of the people that are a part of my life there! Sometimes I am truly in awe at how the Lord has aligned my path with so many of my friends there. Being back home in Alabama for quarantine has allowed me to step back and appreciate so much about Palm Beach that I was beginning to grow used to. I miss the beach so much. I try not to let my mind wander and think of what life could be right now but instead appreciate all the simple joys in each day no matter the crazy circumstances around us.

2. What is on your wishlist right now? This dress, this dress, these shoes, these joggers under $50, this Dyson hair tool, this bikini… and just about every dress on this page!

3. What’s your advice for an aspiring fashion blogger or small business owner? I am no expert here, but I would say be consistent… in your branding, in your posting, and in the messages/products you are sharing. I think we all wish there was a magic trick or special secret to building a blog or new business but a lot of it comes down to putting the work in consistently day after day. Being an entrepreneur means you get out of your blog/business what you put into it. I have found the biggest times of growth in my business have been the times when I am most consistent with my work- having the same number of blog posts/ IG posts up each week and focusing on the same types of content week after week. From the beginning, if you can nail down your branding, the story/vision you want to share with the world, and how many days/what you will post each day… you will be setting yourself up for success!

4. What are your go-to online stores? Shopbop, Nordstrom, Tuckernuck, Neiman Marcus, Net-A-Porter, Saks, ASOS, H&M, The Avenue, Hampden, and Moda Operandi.

5. Where is the first destination you want to visit when quarantine is over? It’s too hard to choose just one, but Hawaii (bummed I had to cancel original trip plans because of Covid-19), Charleston (dying to visit the new Hampden store), Bermuda (Sarah’s daily pics have me dreaming), and NYC (missing my favorite city spots so much) are definitely at the top of my list!
