The Southern C Summit is sneaking up on us, and I can’t believe I’ll be headed back to Sea Island for this wonderful conference in just two weeks! I have been looking forward to this for SO long. Today I thought it would be fun to give you a little preview of what I’ll be wearing at the conference (the outfit above) and some of the items I will be packing. If any of you have conferences, work trips, or early spring vacations coming up, I hope this post will serve as a little inspiration to you!

About The Southern C Summit

For those of you unfamiliar with TSC Summit, it is a gathering of entrepreneurs, creatives, business owners, and bloggers held each year. The Summit has taken place in several locations across the southeast, and I am super excited it will be held at beautiful Sea Island (this resort is a dream- read more here) for the second year in a row.

I had the best time attending The Summit last year and learned so much about branding, business, social media, and more from all the incredible speakers and presenters. A few of my favorite speakers last year were James Nord from Fohr Card, Mandy Kellogg Rye of Waiting on Martha, and Monica Lavin of Lavin Label. I could not be happier to be headed back to learn and spend more time with lots and lots of inspiring people! The creative energy at The Summit is so encouraging and wonderful, and I am so excited to see what all is in store for this year’s Summit. I believe there are still a few tickets left, so if you are interested in coming- find out more info here! I would love to see you there :)

WHAT I'M WEARING

Back to fashion! For conferences or any work related travel, I believe your outfit serves as a visual representation of your brand. Therefore, staying true to yourself and your personal style is essential. You never know who you may meet or have the chance to work with!

Today’s outfit is one I am definitely planning on wearing at The Summit, and there are a few reasons why. First, it’s not super dressy but also not super casual. It’s one of those day to night, wear anywhere kind of outfits that I adore. No matter what is in store for this year's The Summit, this outfit will allow me to go from speaker sessions, to lunch, to more speaker sessions and the "sip and shop" at the beach club without having to take a break and change. Second, when I put on this new top from Noble 31 (stay tuned for more about this brand!), it felt so “me.” From the ruffles, to the neutral color, to the structured fabric, to the asymmetrical hem, I am in love with its bold yet refined feminine design. And third, the pop of color of these earrings! Adding a bright hue to an otherwise neutral look is one of my favorite ways to liven up an outfit and make it stand out. These earrings by Rebecca de Ravenel are one of my all time favorite pairs, and the ombre pink color adds just the right touch of whimsy!

PACKING LIST

Packing for a beach trip in the middle of February can be challenging because the weather is a little bit unpredictable this time of year. Last year I remember our days at Sea Island being fairly warm (I think there was one day that was a little colder), but the nights were still pretty cool. Being an overpacker, I will probably be bringing a mix of outfits just to be prepared. :) Take a look at some of the items I’m planning on packing below!
