5 Fashion Investments Worth the Splurge

Today's post was inspired by a reader who reached out and asked my opinion on which fashion purchases are really worth the splurge. Although people probably have varying opinions on this topic and which pieces are most important, I am excited to share the  top 5 investment items that I think are totally worth a prettier penny! I am a big fan of quality over quantity and classics over trends, so I believe investing wisely in the right bag, shoes, and clothing can save you much more in the long run. When shopping for investment items, a few of my favorite stores to browse designer pieces are Nordstrom, Net-A-Porter, and Neiman Marcus!

1. Timeless Watch

A gorgeous, classic watch is a must have and is definitely number one on my list. This is a pretty piece that you can wear every single day, and it instantly elevates the look of any outfit. My all time favorite watches are by MICHELE, and I wear this Two-Tone Deco watch everyday!

2. Day to Night Handbag

Choosing an investment handbag can be a tough choice, but my favorites bags are the ones that can be worn both casually and dressed up. This timeless Gucci Disco bag will forever be one of my top picks, because of its size (fits my iPhone and wallet with extra room), gorgeous leather, and tassel zipper.

3. Standout Shoes

Shoes are my weakness. They can make or break an outfit, so it is important to invest wisely. Quality beats quantity anyday, and I would much prefer making one big investment over purchasing multiple lesser priced shoes. These pointy toe pumps would perfectly complete so many outfits!

4. Meaningful Jewelry

Pretty necklaces, bracelets, and rings, are definitely worth the splurge, especially when they have special and significant meaning. This cross necklace is surprisingly the #1 item I receive questions about on the blog. It was a gift from my parents for my 10th birthday, and I have worn it around my neck everyday since! It is one of the most precious items I own.

5. Outstanding Outerwear

Outerwear pieces can definitely be a little pricey, but when you consider the price per wear- the cost is much lower. These are the pieces we live in during the fall/winter! This classic trench has been on my wishlist for years, and this coat is my current fall/winter go-to!
