Introducing Neely and Chloe Q&A | One Dress Two Ways with The Lady Bag

Happy Monday! Today's post is one I have been so looking forward to sharing, because I am thrilled to introduce you to one of my newest brand obsessions: Neely & Chloe! If you have been following LCB Style since the beginning, you may remember me sharing a year or so ago about one of my favorite online boutiques, NEELY by VNB, curated by Neely Burch. When I heard that Neely was taking a new direction and launching a new brand, a collection of handbags and shoes, with her sister, Chloe, I could not wait for the official launch to see all of the beautiful designs!

The anticipation was definitely worth it, because as soon as I saw the Neely & Chloe collection, I immediately fell in love with just about every single item! It's not everyday that you come across a brand that satisfies such a great need in the market like Neely & Chloe does. Each of their bags exudes style and class without the daunting price tag that usually comes with bags of their quality. I also love how well rounded their collection of accessories is; there is truly a bag for every occasion! From everyday totes, to cute clutches, to beautiful backpacks, they did not miss a beat! I'm currently obsessed with the Soft Blush classic tote and this gorgeous satchel! Neely and Chloe also designed some super chic loafers in the prettiest colors - like this stunning blush pair!

One of my very favorite things about Neely & Chloe is their attention to detail and the option to personalize your bag! They have an amazing selection of unique tassels, luggage tags, and bag ornaments that perfectly complement their handbags. In addition, you can also get your Neely & Chloe bag customized with leather hand painting or a gold foil embossed monogram (like mine!) - how awesome! I love the extra personality and character that a monogram adds to beautiful accessories!

For today's outfit(s), I styled this floral ruffled dress and the Neely & Chloe Lady Bag two ways to show how both can transition from day to night seamlessly with just a quick change in hair, earrings, and shoes! For a semi-formal/cocktail look, I dressed things up with these black pumps and a unique pair of earrings from Nicola Bathie Jewelry. For a casual day time look, I wore my most comfortable sneakers, simple gold earrings, and threw my hair up in a pony tail. (Fun fact- I first fell in love with Supergas after finding these on NEELY by VNB a couple years ago!) I love how the Neely & Chloe Lady Bag pairs perfectly with both looks; it is truly a classic and versatile bag that elevates the style of any look! I know I will be wearing it non-stop this fall- cannot get enough of the adorable top handle design!

Q&A with Neely and Chloe Burch

LCB: What inspired the Neely and Chloe brand? How did you come up with the idea for it?

N&C: We spent about a year and a half in the space as a retailer and it became increasingly evident to us that there was a hole in the market. We kept searching for the perfect bag at a realistic price point that was chic and sophisticated. A bag that our customer could and would engage with, but it just wasn’t out there. We both approach the business from a very rational perspective and are really just trying to create something that we can’t find. As our own consumer, we believe we have a unique perspective and while often, being a 24 and 25-year-old running a business isn’t always the simplest task, it has really allowed us into the minds of our customers and we just know that she’s out there searching for something new.

LCB: That's so awesome! I appreciate your chic designs and their friendly price point so much. What item is your favorite item from the Neely and Chloe collection and why?

N&C: That is too hard to pick! Honestly, we don’t have a favorite because we love all of them. When designing the collection, we looked at our customer and made sure to create the core sillhouettes our girl needed in her daily life. The bags that got her from Monday morning when she went to work, to dinner with her friends on Wednesday, happy hour with her coworkers on Thursday, date night on Friday, out on Saturday night, and brunch on Sunday. We wanted to make sure she had a bag for every day of the week. A girl could never have too many bags!

LCB: SO true! I love your perspective and all the thought that went into your designs. What does a typical day look like for you at Neely and Chloe?

N&C: Every day is different which makes work so fun and exciting. Right now, we are spending a lot of time at the store. We both really want to be here to talk to our customers and share our story. However, we do spend a lot of time going to meetings as well as just working in our office. There are those days that you just have to catch up on emails!

LCB: That is so much fun! What has been the best moment so far in launching Neely and Chloe?

N&C: Opening the store and the official launch announcement on Vogue.com. We have put so much time planning those moments so when they finally came, it was very exciting!

LCB: Sounds like a dream! I can only imagine how exciting those moments were for both of you! What are three words that define your personal style?

N&C: Classic, Clean, Understated
