Blush pink and white is a color combination I can't resist, and this casual summer outfit is one of my favorites. I used to shy away from midi skirts, because I thought the length was less than flattering; but ever since I added this skirt (last seen in this outfit post) to my wardrobe last fall, my opinion of midi skirts has totally changed. I think they are an essential in any girl's closet and are truly one of the most versatile items one can own! A midi skirt can take you from day to night and casual to dressy with just a change in shoes.
I encourage all of you to try out wearing a midi skirt and silk tank this summer. It is truly one of the cutest pairings that is so easy, yet chic! Especially if you are traveling, a midi skirt is a great item to have to wear multiple ways throughout your vacation- dressed up with heels, dressed down with sandals or dressed very casual with a tee. Although I purchased this skirt as a two piece set with a matching top, I decided to switch things up and wear it with a pink Tibi sequin top that I have had for almost four years. Tibi tanks are some of my favorites, and they are definitely staples that stand the test of time. I am currently loving this season's printed version and blue draped one. Lastly, to keep this look casual, I wore these tan espadrille sandals that are one of my favorite recent finds. I was super bummed when a similar Vince pair of mine broke (the espadrille part came detached from the leather strap), but so excited when I found this almost identical pair at a fraction of the cost. They also come in white and black here!
