dress, earrings, and bracelets: by yours truly!
When I began sketching designs for this collection, one thing I knew for sure was that I wanted to include an off the shoulder ruffle dress in it! In the beginning, I thought I was going to make this design out of chambray, but when I could not find the perfect chambray fabric to use I began looking at a few other options. I considered using linen or a bolder striped pattern, but when I saw the way that the powder blue and white striped poplin looked paired with this relaxed white woven overlay, I knew it was exactly what I wanted to use! I love the way the white overlay on the ruffle adds more emphasis and detail to the top, and I really like the understated stripes of the blue and white poplin fabric. The fabrics made a perfect combination for this design!
When I envisioned this dress in my head, I envisioned versatility. I saw a dress that could be slipped on with sandals for dinner after a long day at the beach; I also saw it as a dress that could be dressed up a bit with neutral heels for a more formal event. It would also be perfect for a day of shopping or Sunday brunch! This is a dress that can easily be transitioned from day to night with a change in accessories, and I truly love that about it! Since this design is one of my favorites from the collection, I have made it available to purchase here!
