Neck Tie Top + Wrap Skirt feat. Tory Burch

When Tory Burch presented her Fall 16 Collection last February and shared that some of her inspiration for the beautiful designs came from an equestrian state of mind, it immediately struck a chord with me. As I shared in this post last week, fall always takes me back to my love and affinity for equestrian inspired fashion because of my weekends spent around horses and the polo sport. Tory Burch included many unique equestrian details in her FW16 collection that make it stand out from any other. Some of my favorite equestrian detailed designs from Tory Burch's collection include this stunning abstract horse printed silk dress, these jodhpur pants, and several jockey-pattern wool designs like this coat and the skirt I am wearing in this outfit!

This skirt in particular caught my eye, because I LOVE the bold geometric pattern and contrast of colors. The pattern and colors are so vivid, yet very classic and timeless. The wrap around style adds a modern flair to the design, and the leather trim detailing perfectly completes it.

I paired the pretty skirt with a simple white neck tie top. If you haven't added a neck tie top to your wardrobe yet, I highly encourage you to do so now! I love the chic, classic and ladylike look of them. I actually just purchased this long sleeve one to wear under dresses throughout fall and winter.

With the skirt and top, I wore a pair of classic Tory Burch booties from a few seasons back and this Tory Burch handbag to accessorize the look. I have been wearing this bag with everything lately (you may have noticed on Insta!), and I am obsessing over Tory Burch's new Gemini Link Collection - take a look at more here

Lastly, I can't share this outfit without mentioning the special spot we shot this look- The Greenbrier Resort! More specifically, these photos were taken in the equestrian space just outside one of the entrances to the hotel. One of my favorite parts of my days at The Greenbrier is walking to get breakfast and seeing all the beautiful horses and riders gathered outside the hotel preparing for trail rides and carriage rides. There is something so magical about the setting and seeing the horses up close against the hotel with the morning light shining down. It's the best. I wish I had words to describe how special and beautiful this place is! I am so thankful to have gotten to spend time there with my family over the past week, and I am looking forward to sharing more of the resort and my outfits from the trip with you! Stay tuned :)
