New Year, New Reads

One of my goals for 2016 is to spend more time reading real books! I absolutely love finding new fashion books full of beautiful images, inspiring stories, and wise words! The other day I found myself browsing Amazon for some new titles to add to my reading list for 2016 and found five books that I cannot wait to start reading!

1. It by Alexa Chung

I quickly became a huge fan of Alexa Chung's after Birtish Vogue's "Future of Fashion" video series this summer, and I cannot wait to read more about Alexa's journey in the world of fashion. Her sense of humor and unique personal style truly make her one of my favorite style inspirations right now!

2. Front Roe by Louise Roe

Another favorite British fashionista of mine, Louise Roe, shares practical tips and some of her style secrets in her first book! Louise has held lots of positions and has seen all parts of the fashion industry first hand. Also, she shares more of her life and style on her blog- see here!

3. The Woman I Wanted To Be by Diane Von Furstenburg

I think Diane von Furstenburg is an inspiration to everyone interested in fashion! She has had such a full and successful career, and I am really excited to read/ learn more from her in this book!

4. Love X Style X Life by Garance Dore

Garance Dore is one of my very favorite fashion illustrators, and she is such an inspiration to me (in both fashion and art)! Being French, I think she has such a unique, elegant sense of style! I'm excited to see more of her illustrations and read more about her opinions on love, style, and life!

5. My Paris Dream by Kate Betts

This book popped up in the "suggested for you" tab, and I am so glad I stumbled upon it! Kate Betts, the author, is a former Vogue and Harper's Bazaar editor. In this memoir, Kate shares stories about coming of age as a fashion journalist in the 1980s in Paris. I could read almost any book about Paris, but I am especially excited to read more about Kate's time as a fashion journalist!

What are your favorite fashion books? What books are on your reading list this year? I am always looking for new titles! Share in the comments below :) xo
